Mr. Cameron King
DIRECTOR, PRESIDENT & CEO
Mr. King is a Chemical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the mining and mill processing and investment finance industries. As founder of Camline Wear Technologies, provided operation efficiencies for some of largest operations in Canada for copper, coal and precious metals. In 1991, Mr. King joined the Corporate and M&A with Bank of Nova Scotia and started King Capital Corporation in 1999 providing management and investment finance into numerous listed companies internationally. His roles have included senior management positions and directorships responsible in areas of finance, business development and strategic in roles of CEO and Director. Mr. King offers years of experience with dealing with the financial, regulatory, legal and accounting issues that are relevant to building successful growth companies. Mr. King received his MBA in 1991 and PEng and BComm in 1987 from McMaster University.
Mr. Hernan Dorado
Mr. Hernan Dorado Smith is a 5th generation mining engineer and possesses 15 years of underground and open pit mining experience. He has in-depth and local knowledge of the El Pinguico mine and the surrounding geological formation. Hernan has worked with several world class producers on major projects, such as, New Gold at Peak Mine, Australia and Rainy River, Canada; Panamerican Silver at Navidad, Argentina and La Preciosa, Mexico. His experience at the various stages of mining, pre-feasibilty, feasibility, construction and operations bring considerable value to Vangold. Hernan graduated as a Mining Engineer from Universidad de Guanajuato in 2003, received an Executive MBA from Escuela Europea de Negocios, Salamanca in 2013, and is a member of the Mining of the Mineral and Metallurgical Society of America (MMSA).
Dr. David Terry
Dr. Terry is a professional economic geologist, senior executive and corporate director with more than 25 years of international experience in the mineral resources sector. He has played key roles in the successful acquisition, exploration and development of a number of precious and base metal deposits, primarily in North and South America, and has expertise in advanced project evaluation, M&A, corporate finance, and design and execution of effective exploration programs. In the course of his career Dr. Terry has held executive positions and directorships with a number of publicly-listed and private mineral resource companies; he currently serves as a director of Golden Arrow Resources Corporation which is advancing its Chinchillas silver project in Argentina. He has also worked with a number of senior mining companies including Boliden Limited, Westmin Resources Limited, Hemlo Gold Mines Inc., Cominco Limited and Gold Fields Mining Corporation. Dr. Terry holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in geology from Western University in Ontario and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Mr. Jonathan Challis
Mr. Challis is a Mining Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the operation, management, financing and analysis of mining projects around the world. Mr. Challis has an honors degree in Mineral Exploitation from University College, Cardiff and an MBA degree from Cranfield University. He further strengthens the board in the key areas of technical, operational and mining expertise. Mr. Challis commenced his professional career as a Mining Engineer with Gold Fields of South Africa in 1974 before returning to Europe, where he worked as a Mining Analyst and Project Financier for several European institutions. In 1997, he joined Ivanhoe Capital Corporation and was involved in several Canadian resources companies in the roles of CEO, President and Director. He served as a Non-Executive Director at Orinoco Gold Limited until Dec. 2017 and continues to serve as Chairman and Director of Rye Patch Gold Corp.
